Re: A member will be missed

I am shocked! He helped me on some of my inquiries here about HF drivers and patiently answered my inquiries even if he's aware that I am just a newbie here. That was just a month ago if I am not mistaken.

Rest in peace Evan! I will remember you.

The final crossover. I bet he improves it.

Re: A member will be missed

Well written post Brad, thank you for putting it up as i wouldn't have been aware otherwise.

Unfortunately, it's one of the saddest posts i've ever read.

Zilch demonstrated a generosity that is most uncommon in the world today, i will forever appreciate and respect his willingness to help anyone with the slightest interest in loudspeakers.

A great reminder for everyone to appreciate those around you in your day to day life.

The modern world of loudspeakers has lost a great benefactor.

Farewell Zilch, may peace be with you always.

    Very sad indeed.
Nothing like a great big pair of speakers to make your day.

Zilch will be deeply missed. I have spent hours reading and re-reading his threads on various forums. My favorite, a thread that should be required reading for Altec fans everywhere, is the epic "Quick and Dirty Two Ways" thread on the Lansing Heritage forum. While I did not agree with everything Zilch said about loudspeakers in general, I have a deep respect for his work and I have learned a great deal from him.

    So long, man.

Thanks for sharing the video John--now I can connect a face with the name. Of course he looked nothing like how I pictured him but it's nice to see his enthusiasm and a good way to remember him--happy doing what he loved.....
